Description
Day 1 - Hanoi - Mai Chau (L,D)
After breakfast at 8am you will be picked up by our tour guide and transferred to Mai Chau by air conditioned bus stopping just outside Mai Chau for a viewpoint that is simply wonderful. On arriving to Mai Chau you will be greeted by the friendly family of the Homestay and presented with lunch.
After lunch you will then take the bicycles out for a ride through the local villages and meet the people working in their traditional houses and workshops. Visiting exporting businesses on the way before stopping for a quick drink and to relax before heading back to the Homestay for a shower and change of clothes, ready for the evening’s entertainment. You will first enjoy a BBQ dinner with fresh bread baked in their home and a one-hour traditional dance by the local minority tribe.
Overnight in Private Bungalow
Day 2 - Mai Chau - Hanoi (B,L)
After breakfast you will take a walk through the local woods for about 4 hours and visit th local villages of Na Meo and Na Mo to understand more about local culture in Mai Chau. Once you arrive back to the Homestay you will take an excellent lunch before maybe taking the bicycles again to explore the local surroundings to check out the local weavers and charming businesses to collect some beautiful rugs, silk scarves or the like.
Taking your transport back between 3pm – 3.30pm to return to Hanoi, arriving around 6pm – 6.30pm.
