Day 1 - Premier Hoa Lu/Tam Coc & Hang Mua (L)

Your journey in to the past to see the Tam Coc Peaks starts with your limousine bus and guide collecting you from your hotel in the Old Quarter.

First stopping at the ancient capital of Vietnam from 986 - 1010 and the intriguing city of Hoa Lu, here the guide will explain the more about the first feudal government of Vietnam.

At 10.30 when we have reached Tam Coc National Park, we will enter Hang Mua where we will begin the 500 step climb to gain impressive panoramic views across the Tam Coc peaks far in to the distance.

We will then stop for lunch nearby in a local traditional Vietnamese restaurant where we can enjoy goat (optional) and a selection of dishes typical for this area.

After lunch we will start our 2 hour Sampan boat ride passing by rice fields, in between limestone mountains and gliding in and out of the 3 caves of Hang Cai, Hang Hai and Hang Ba.

We will then have an optional cycle ride in to the stunning countryside where we will be introduced to a traditional house to see life as a local family.

At 4pm, we will head to the homestay to enjoy a relaxing time to see the sunset by the swimming pool while drinking local tea and sampling the fresh fruit available.

At around 4.30pm, you will be dropped off at your homestay to check in and enjoy a free evening by the pool or out in the village of Tam Coc to check out the local restaurants.

Today you can take out the bicycles available at your hotel and explore this wonderful and stunning area called Tam Coc National Park.

With Tam Coc comes a multitude of sights to see such as Trang An, Van Long Nature Park Thung Nham bird park to name but a few.

Take a boat ride through the Trang An caves and relax while the rower glides you along by her feet.

Stop for a lunch at a nearby restaurant and enjoy a goat dish, the speciality of Tam Coc, before heading back to the hotel to make use of the great facilities and swimming pool.

At night, take a stroll along the road and stop at one of many Vietnamese restaurants offering excellent food.
